About the Role:

We’re hiring Heavy Diesel Mobile Plant Mechanics and Heavy Road Transport Mechanics for our mine site project based out of Mount Isa, QLD!

As a Mine Site Mobile Plant Mechanic and/or Heavy Road Transport Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a mixed fleet of CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Kenworth and more!

• Dump Trucks (up to 777)
• Dozers (Up to D10)
• Production Loaders (Up to CAT980)
• Production Excavators (Up to PC1250)
• Graders
• Water Carts
• Articulated Haul Trucks (Moxy)
• Kenworth Prime Movers

👨🏻‍🔧 What do we want to hear from you?

• Valid Australian Trade Certificate

• White Card

• HR Drivers Licence (preferred)

• 3–5 years’ heavy plant experience

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

• Able to work independently and safely

• Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to process

• Hold additional tickets including a High Risk licence - desirable

Hold or have the ability to obtain the following competencies.

These competencies can be obtained through Civil Safety - https://civilsafety.edu.au/

• RIISAM301F Test operational functions of vehicles and equipment (i.e., to test and operate equipment)

• RIIVEH306E Operate a mine service vehicle (i.e., to operate the service cart)

• AURKTJ011 Remove, inspect, and fit earthmoving and off-the-road tyres (i.e., to remove, inspect and fit tyres, and as per the tyre and rim JHA’s and procedure developed

• AURKTJ012 Remove, inspect, and fit earthmoving and off-the-road wheel and rim assemblies (i.e., to remove, inspect and fit wheel and rim assemblies, and as per the tyre and rim JHA’s and procedure developed
