We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our growing team at our new head office in Osborne Park. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage financial records with accuracy and integrity. Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheet, profit and loss and cashflow statements
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate coding, balance sheet reconciliations
- Posting of monthly general journals
- Formulation of budgets / forecasts on a quarterly basis and variance analysis
- Monthly maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Prepare and submit statutory returns including BAS, Payroll, and FBT returns
- Preparation of the annual financial statements, including supporting work papers
- Liaising with external accountants and JV partner
- Revenue invoicing and AR collection
- Bank statement / cashbook reconciliation and postings
- Ensure compliance with company policies
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Accounting role
- Working towards CPA/CA qualifications or in progress
- Experience in mining operations within Australia is preferred
- Attention to detail, with a desire to probe further into data
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex financial language to non-financial stakeholder
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
