We are looking for a skilled HSE Advisor to join our team. This role combines both Corporate and Operational responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys a diverse and hands-on work environment. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and supporting HSE systems, processes, and procedures across one of our rapidly growing Transport/Bulk Haulage projects. Working closely with site personnel, management, and key stakeholders, you will monitor and support all HSE functions to ensure the safe delivery of our contracts.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site safety systems, and project procedures.
- Perform routine safety inspections, hazard observations, and risk assessments.
- Lead or support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Undertake internal HSE audits and attend client HSE meetings.
- Prepare, maintain, and communicate HSE reports, records, and project documentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of project-specific HSE procedures and work instructions and internal communication tools.
- Liaise with clients, auditors, inspectors, and other stakeholders to support HSE outcomes.
- Build positive working relationships with project personnel to promote safety awareness.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Myosh (advanced configuration and workflow design experience highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in incident investigation, corrective action development, and risk management.
- Proficiency in developing HSE Management systems, including facilitation of internal HSE training.
- Competence in HSE auditing, reporting, document control, and data analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders on safety matters.
What you will bring
- Formal HSEÂ qualifications (minimum Cert IV in OHS).
- Previous experience in a HSE role for a minimum of 3 years.
- Experience in high-risk transport industries is highly desirable.
- Exposure to safety culture initiatives or continuous improvement programs is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with site teams, Project Managers, and senior leadership.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and quality in data.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks.
