About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Fleet Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the key link between our customers, workshop, transport, and operations teams—ensuring our hire fleet is delivered on time, maintained to a high standard, and fully compliant.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily machinery hire bookings, off‑hire requests, extensions, and fleet availability.
- Source external hire equipment for projects when internal assets are unavailable or unsuitable.
- Obtain competitive quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure the best value for the company.
- Raise purchase orders (POs) and ensure all supplier documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintain up‑to‑date hire records, schedules, and system entries.
- Liaise with workshop, transport, and operational teams to ensure equipment is prepared, serviced, and delivered on time.
- Communicate with customers regarding specifications, delivery requirements, and hire terms.
- Monitor fleet utilisation and assist with planning maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Support invoicing, hire reports, and general administrative tasks as needed
About You
- Previous experience in machinery hire, logistics coordination, fleet management, or a similar role (preferred).
- Strong administrative and organisational ability.
- Confident communicator who can work with operations, workshop, haulage, and customers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Good computer skills and experience with hire or fleet management systems (advantageous).
- Knowledge of heavy machinery, transport, or civil construction equipment is highly desirable.
