Job Description
We're on the hunt for a highly seasoned and versatile Senior Project Manager on an 8:6 roster to float between all our current mining portfolio. With our key operations just outside of Mt Isa, this role demands a big-picture thinker with the flexibility to plug into various projects at different stages, bringing structure, clarity, and high-level leadership wherever it’s needed most. You’ll be accountable for operational execution, commercial outcomes, stakeholder alignment, and maintaining rock-solid compliance with both internal protocols and client contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes within specified timeframes and budget constraints
- Developing and implementing project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Monitoring project progress, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed
- Coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Preparing regular reports on project status, risks, and issues for management review
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the project lifecycle
- Providing leadership, guidance, and support to project team members to foster a collaborative and productive working environment
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency
- Contributing to the development of organisational project management standards and methodologies
What you will bring
- 5+ years Previous Project Management experience in a senior role, preferably in the Mining industry
- Qld-based, with flexibility to travel when required
- Strong leadership skills and attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Strong commercial acumen including forecasting, reporting, costing and estimating experience
- Demonstrated success managing multi-site or complex project portfolios
- Ability to work within strict project deadlines
