Re:Group is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer – Site for a new open pit mining project in the Kimberley, WA. FIFO 8/6 or 2/2, reporting to the Project Manager. You will own short-term planning and drill and blast, keeping the operation safe, productive and on plan. Site establishment starts 15 January 2027, with mining to commence by 1 March 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily (24-hour) mine plans and weekly 7-day rolling schedules, aligned to client mine plans
• Scheduling dig blocks, ore and waste, stockpiles, dumping, development work and drainage from client designs
• Sequencing ore for crusher blending with client geology and grade control
• Designing blast patterns and overseeing drilling, charging and firing to design, including wall control
• Monitoring excavation against client designs and supporting GPS / machine guidance
• Production and drill and blast reporting, productivity analysis and handovers to your back-to-back

What You Will Bring

• Degree in Mining Engineering with 3+ years’ open pit planning and drill and blast experience
• Deswik, Vulcan or Surpac, blast software (e.g. Shotplus) and advanced Excel
• Confidence working independently
• WA explosives knowledge and machine control / fleet management experience highly regarded
